Antigen Preparation
Recombinant protein encoding aa 936-1154 of human CD11b.
Background
"CD11b (Integrin αMβ2, Mac-1, CD11b/CD18) is a non-covalently linked heterodimer of αM and β2 subunits on the surface of
leukocytes. It is expressed on the surface of many leukocytes involved in the innate immune system, including monocytes,
granulocytes, macrophages and natural killer cells. CD11b consists of two polypeptide chains with molecular weights 95 and
170kDa. The heterodimeric proteins (designated CD11) share a common beta chain CD18 of 95kDa; The alpha chain
component of the leukocyte associated antigen is expressed on granulocytes, monocytes and macrophages. CD11b plays a
pivotal role in the adhesion and migration of these cells. This antibody reacts with the 170 kDa (CD11b/CD18 heterodimer)."
