Antigen Preparation
Recombinant protein encoding aa 253-367 of human CD54.
Background
"The CD54 antigen (ICAM-1) is an integral membrane glycoprotein of 85-110kDa with seven potential N-linked glycosylation sites. The cell surface glycoprotein is typically expressed on endothelial cells and the cells of the immune system, such as monocytes. It binds to integrins of type CD11a/CD18, or CD11b/CD18. Expression of the CD54 glycoprotein can be induced or upregulated on many cells types including B and T lymphocytes, thymocytes, fibroblasts, keratinocytes and epithelial cells. The CD54 antigen is important in mediating immune and inflammatory responses."
